Finally, we are pleased to announce that Brendaly Rodríguez, MA, CPH, Senior Engagement Officer at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will be coming to present to us from Washington DC and we look forward to learning how we can engage and work with PCORI to diminish healthcare disparities at a broader level.

Brendaly Rodriguez MA, CPH

Senior Engagement Officer at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)

Brendaly Rodríguez, MA, CPH, is a Senior Engagement Officer at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She provides consultative guidance on engagement to program officers and supports the management of PCORI’s comparative effectiveness research (CER) portfolio. In her work, she advises on strategies to ensure the engagement of patients and other stakeholders throughout the CER research process. She also contributes to generate new evidence-based approaches to support PCORI activities. Brendaly has been involved with PCORI since 2013 serving over the years as a PCORI Ambassador, member of the Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement (PEAP 2017-2020), and team member on several PCORI-funded projects. Before joining PCORI’s staff, Brendaly served as Director of the Chula Vista Community Collaborative (CVCC), a community-based organization bringing together diverse sectors of the local community to develop coordinated strategies to protect the health, safety, and wellness of residents living near the US-Mexico border. Prior, she managed the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Program of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute among other programs at the University of Miami where she led health promotion activities and managed clinical trials for nearly two decades. Rodriguez is a founding member and Past Co-President of the Florida Community Health Worker Coalition and also served at the Latino Caucus of the American Public Health Association (LC-APHA). She has over 25 years of experience in developing and administering community-based interventions that address health disparities in USA and Australia.
