Position Description
Berkshire Mountain Health, LLC (“BMH”), Great Barrington, MA seeks Nurse Practitioner(s)/Physicians Assistant(s) to staff a 16 bed treatment detox and CSS unit that will be opening in the Summer of 2021. There is great potential for the right candidate to advance in BMH as it grows in the New England area.
Responsibilities in conjunction with Program Medical Director (which may in part be provided through Telemedicine) include:
- Oversight of medical and substance use disorder services to all clients.
- Provision of telephonic consultation as needed including emergency basis.
- Evaluation of all new patients within 24 hours of admission and subsequently on daily rounds.
- Ensure client’s medical/ substance use care is appropriately documented in the medical record with initial and follow up visits completed within 24 hours of service.
Candidates will preferably have at least two years’ experience in the treatment of substance use disorders and an active x-waiver.

Berkshire Mountain Health offers premium quality behavioral health services at its new location in Great Barrington, Massachusetts – amidst the beautiful Berkshires of New England. This freestanding facility houses a 16-bed, medically monitored (ASAM 3.7) inpatient withdrawal management services for adults ages 18 and above. Staffing includes Board Certified physicians, Independently Licensed Clinicians, 24/7 Registered Nurses and highly experienced medical support staff. Services include evidence-based practices and protocols such as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Twelve Step Facilitation, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
During the early stages of recovery at Berkshire Mountain Health our clients not only work on the managing the physical consequences of withdrawal but begin to address the psychosocial effects of addiction through individual and group therapy, family and medical education programs and continuing care planning. We understand the essential process of engaging our clients in the next level of care to meet their rehabilitation and recovery needs – and are committed to helping them with a warm hand-off to their next phase of treatment.
